These are the standard questions asked to a reference when Vetty is performing a reference check
Vetty offers Reference Checks as a service to our customers. The customer can choose the number of references they would like Vetty to contact.
When the candidate is providing the details of their reference, they can select whether this is a person is a Peer, Manager, Subordinate or Other. When selecting Other, they do have to specify the relationship to the reference.
The below questions are the standard questions Vetty uses when performing reference checks. These can be customized and questions added or removed as per the customer's requirements.
Standard Questions:
- What was/is the applicant's job and nature of his/her duties?
- How did he/she get along with his/her associates?
- How did he/she show initiative or leadership in his/her job?
- How long have you known him/her?
- When he/she begins a task, would you say that he/she carries it through?
- What could he/she do to improve their job performance?
- Is he/she dependable?
- In your opinion, has he/she ever shown a propensity for violence or dishonesty in the workplace?
- What would you say is his/her greatest strength?
- In your opinion, if you were responsible for the hiring process, would you consider him/her eligible for rehire?
- Do you have any additional comments?
