Billing Process at Vetty

Vetty bills for the previous month's checks on the last business day of the month (depending on weekend dates). When you sign up for your Vetty account, there is a field for a billing contact email. That is the email that will receive the invoices. If you leave this field blank, we will send it to the Account creator.

When we generate invoices, the Billing email will receive an automated email with 6 copies of your month's invoice. These are the Summary Level, Package Level and Candidate Level invoices. We send via PDF and Excel documents. These all have the same Total Amount Due but have different views of the information. 

The billing email address will also receive an email from Stripe for payment. There is a delay in this system as Stripe waits 1 hour before sending out newly created invoices. 

All clients who pay less than $1,000 per month are auto-charged with their default payment method in Stripe. To update your payment method, you can log in with your billing email address at our Stripe Client Payment Portal

How do I change my Billing Email Address?

I have a Stripe Invoice, how do I view my detailed Invoice?

You can view your Vetty invoices at any time. Please Log in to Vetty, go to Settings, and then go to Invoices. Here you can view all types of Invoices for every month you have run background checks. 

How do I know what is paid and unpaid on my account? 

Please write to ar@vetty.co. They will be able to check what we have received and what is still outstanding from your company. 

What is the Third Party Fee that I see on my Invoice?

If you are running County Criminal checks, State Criminal checks, Federal criminal checks, Motor Vehicle Record checks or Verifications, then you may see a third-party fee on your invoice.

These fees are charged by certain jurisdictions in order to search their system for any records. If you are running a 7-year, 3-county search or multiple types of searches; there may be more than one fee on one candidate. *Note these fees are subject to change without any notice. These are set by the governing body and are passed through with no up-charge to clients. These may change due to new county, state, federal or DMV ordinances. 

I didn't order a Statewide, why is that fee on my Invoice? 

Vetty has automation put into place when you order a check in one of the $95 counties in New York, we cancel the county and order the Statewide report - also $95. This way, we prevent any of our clients who are running a 7-year, 3-county search from paying $190 or $285 in fees for 2 or 3 $95 counties.
