How to integrate your Vetty and Chattr Accounts
Prerequisite: You must be a Vetty and Chattr customer and have an instance of both systems. Please contact Vetty or Chattr sales teams if you are looking to purchase either system!
Integrating Vetty and Chattr's system is a quick 4 step process.
- First, you will need to add an API key in your Vetty account. Log into Vetty at client.vetty.co and go to Settings > API Management and click Add New User Key
- Select which user you would like to manage the integration
- Enter 0.0.0.0/0 into the IP Address Field
- Set the expiration months to 24 months (or any other time period you like). We recommend longer to ensure the integration continues working
- Click Add
- Now, add a Webhook. You will see the Webhook tab at the top of the page you are already on. In case you have navigated away, you can navigate back by going to Settings > API Management > Web Hook.
- Click Add Web Hook
- Use the following URL: https://us-central1-hire-humanly.cloudfunctions.net/vettyReceiveEvents
- Key: chattr
- Click Add
- Navigate back to the API Management System Tab. Single click on the API key box to copy it to your clipboard.
- Log into Chattr at app.chattr.ai. Head to your Onboarding Section indicated by the Rocket icon (
)
- Select Background Checks
- Select the Vetty section
- Paste the API key that was copied from Vetty
- Select Validate and Connect
The system will now tell you the token status. In Chattr, you can toggle the integration on and off and in Vetty, you can delete the API key at any time to stop the connection
Connecting your Vetty Locations to Chattr
You are able to map your Vetty locations to your Chattr locations. This mapping is done in Chattr.
- Work with your Vetty team to set up all of your locations in Vetty.
- Request from Vetty a list of all locations and their Location ID's. This is a 24 digit unique string that is assigned on the Vetty back-end.
- Provide the location list with the ID's to your Chattr CSM or support team.
- The Chattr team will map these Vetty locations to match your Chattr location.
Onboarding Guide Set Up
If you are new to Chattr, please work with your Chattr account manager or CSM to customize your Onboarding guides per position.
Once your onboarding guide is created, you will be able to customize the background check assigned to this guide.
In onboarding guide set up, you will choose which background check package to run per job position. To do this, select Add Background Check to This Offer and choose which package you'd like Vetty to run on your new hires for this guide.
You can also configure the Vetty department and required Healthcare licenses (if applicable).
Vetty Licenses and Departments can be configured in either the Onboarding Guide or at the Job level, depending on the use case.
- Onboarding Guide: The user selects a Vetty Package, which then displays two dropdowns—one for departments and one for licenses (pictured above).
- Job Level: When creating or editing a job, these settings are found in the "Post" tab. Here, users can choose to override the department or healthcare license. If set at the job level, the applicant will be tied to those values instead of the onboarding-level selections.
Placing an order with the integration
Once your onboarding guide is set up, you are ready to use the integration!
- In your Talent Hub within Chattr, mark your candidate as hired & send the offer to them.
- The candidate will now receive the Chattr hire information. They will need to complete steps in your guide until they reach the Vetty background check stage. They will Acknowledge the background screening here within the Chattr onboarding guide.
- Once acknowledged, Vetty will email and text the candidate in order to get started with their background screening.
*Note: just acknowledging the background on Chattr does NOT start the background. - The candidate will fill in the Vetty application form. Once complete, their background check will go to In Progress.
Checking the Status of a Background in Chattr
To view the status of the background check in Chattr, go to the Onboarding Tracker in your talent hub and select the person whose status you would like to view.
Navigate to the attachments tab and scroll down to view the status in Vetty. To view more details, please log into Vetty at client.vetty.co
