How to Find Older Background Checks

An overview of the Historical Candidate dashboard.

Ever feel like you're digging through the attic trying to find an old background check? Well, Vetty keeps things way more organized than your storage closet.

When candidate files age out of your Active Dashboard, we tuck them neatly into your Historical Dashboard, so you can always find what you need without the clutter. Here's what the Historical Dashboard is and how to use it.

What is the Historical Dashboard?

Candidates will only move to the Historical Dashboard if they’ve reached a terminal status (Archived, Withdrawn, Clear, Reviewed, or Adverse Action) more than 90 days ago.

This feature moves these “old” candidates to a separate dashboard to keep your Active Dashboard clean, current, and focused on what actually matters day-to-day.

Viewing the Historical Dashboard

To access it, scroll to the bottom of your Candidate Dashboard and click View Historical.

How to Use the Historical Dashboard

On this dashboard, you’ll see all “old” applicants aka any candidate files completed more than 90 days ago.

Use the search bars near the top of the page to search by:

  • Candidate name.

  • Order ID.

  • Email address.

  • Screening date range.

Note:

  • Dates must be used to enable the search.

  • You can enter any date range you like.

Restoring Historical Candidates to Your Active Dashboard

You can move historical applicants back to your Active Dashboard by following these steps:

  1. Click on the candidate, or select multiple candidates using the checkboxes.

  2. Choose one of the following:

    1. Temporary Restore: Moves the applicant back to your main dashboard temporarily. All restored candidates automatically return to the Historical Dashboard every Saturday at 3 AM ET.
    2. Download PDF: Downloads a full PDF report of the candidate’s file and records.

Note: You can restore multiple candidates at once using the checkboxes and selecting Temporary Restore at the top of the page.
