Learn about VettyComply and continuous criminal monitoring

Compliance doesn’t stop after a hire…and neither do we.

VettyComply™ allows you to enroll current employees into continuous monitoring, so you’re alerted to any negative changes to their records after their initial screening.

We currently offer continuous monitoring for:

  • Criminal records
  • Healthcare sanctions

With VettyComply™, you’re not just screening once — you’re staying informed over time.

Criminal Monitoring

Criminal Monitoring allows you to stay informed if any enrolled members are arrested or have new criminal charges filed against them.

Criminal Monitoring must be enabled for your account before it can be used.

Please connect with your Customer Experience Manager or email support@vetty.co to have VettyComply™ Criminal Monitoring activated in your Vetty instance.

Note: This feature is not automatically enabled, even if you see the VettyComply™ module in the platform. Once enabled, you’ll be ready to enroll members and begin monitoring.

Member Enrollment

Once Criminal Monitoring is enabled, enrolling members is quick and flexible. You can choose the method that works best for your workflow.

You have three enrollment options:

  • Bulk select from the Candidates dashboard using checkboxes.
  • Enroll individually through the VettyComply™ dashboard.
  • Add members in a batch upload.

Next, we’ll walk you through how to enroll members using each option.

Bulk Select from the Candidates Dashboard

Want to enroll multiple hired candidates at once? You can do it directly from the Candidates dashboard using the checkboxes next to their names. Here’s how to do it:

  • Select the hired candidate(s) you’d like to enroll using the checkboxes.
  • In the pop-up window, certify enrollment and confirm consent.
  • Click Continue.
  • Choose the monitoring product you’d like to enroll them in.
  • Click Enroll.

Once submitted, you’ll receive a notification confirming whether enrollment was successful or if any errors occurred.

If there are errors, head to the VettyComply™ dashboard to review the issue, make any necessary corrections, and complete the enrollment.


Enrolling One by One on the VettyComply™ Dashboard


Prefer to enroll members individually? You can do that directly from the VettyComply™ dashboard. Here’s how.

  • Head over to the VettyComply™ dashboard from the left-hand navigation panel.
  • Click Add New.
  • Next, enter the member’s details, including:
    • Name
    • Email address
    • SSN
    • Date of birth
    • Gender (optional)
    • Employment location ZIP code (optional)
    • Current address
    • License information (optional)
    • Consent certifications
  • Once everything is completed, click Confirm.


  • You also have the option to upload your consent document to store within Vetty. After confirming, the system will notify you that the member has been added. The member will now appear in the upper Ready to Enroll section of the VettyComply™ dashboard.


To complete enrollment:

  • Use the checkboxes to select the member(s).
  • Click Enroll for Monitoring.

  • Select the service you’d like to enroll them in.
  • Click Enroll.


You’ll receive an on-screen confirmation once enrollment is successful. If any errors occur, click into the member’s profile to view the issue. Make the necessary corrections, then repeat the enrollment steps to complete the process.


Adding Members in a Batch

Need to enroll a large group at once? Vetty allows you to upload new members using a batch file, so you can add multiple members in bulk. Here’s how:

  • Go to the VettyComply™ dashboard.
  • Select Add Members in Batch.
  • In the pop-up window, download the template file. If you click the Help? icon, you’ll also receive a help guide for completing the template.
  • The following fields are mandatory (marked with an asterisk in the template):
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Email address
    • SSN
    • Date of birth (YYYY,MM,DD format)
    • Address
    • Certify for VettyComply™ (Y)
    • Member’s consent for enrollment (Y)
  • Be sure to save your completed template with a unique file name that’s different from any previous batch uploads.
  • Use Browse in the pop-up window to select your file.
  • Click Save.
  • After uploading, navigate to the Batch Upload Details tab to see how many members were successfully created. If there are errors, the system will generate a new file outlining what needs to be corrected.
  • Once your members are successfully added, you can:
    • Go back to the Member tab.
    • You’ll see them listed in the upper Ready to Enroll section
    • Use the checkboxes to select the member(s).
    • Click Enroll for Monitoring.
    • Select the monitoring service.
    • Click Enroll.

  • You’ll receive an on-screen confirmation once enrollment is successful.

Monthly Certification


To keep your monitoring accurate and compliant, Vetty requires a monthly certification of your enrolled members. Each month, Vetty will email your company’s users with the subject line Vetty Comply Monthly Certification asking them to confirm that the current roster of enrolled members is eligible to continue being monitored.

This process also allows you to download a list of enrolled members, making it easy to review and confirm your active roster.

Prefer not to wait for the email? You can certify at any time by navigating to the Monthly Certification tab within the VettyComply™ dashboard.

The system will track who completed the certification and when, so you always have a clear record.

Unenrolling Members

You can unenroll members from continuous monitoring at any time. To do it you have two options:

  • Option 1: From the Member Dashboard
    • Select the member you’d like to unenroll and click Archive.
    • Archiving the member will automatically unenroll them and move them to the Archived tab.
  • Option 2: From the Member Profile
    • Click into the member’s profile.
    • Select More Actions.
    • Click Unenroll in CRIM.


And done! That member will be removed from your monitoring roster.

Reviewing Alerts

If an enrolled member has a negative change to their record, you’ll be notified. You’ll receive an alert, and it will also appear in the Alerts tab within the VettyComply™ dashboard.


To review your alerts simply:

  • Click on the Alerts tab.
  • View all active alerts.
    • If there is an incident, the alert type will read Incident Under Investigation.
    • From there you can click View Details to open the member’s details page to learn more.

Once inside the member’s detail page, you can see:

  • An activity feed showing all monitoring activity.
  • Monitoring information.
  • An Actions box in the bottom right-hand corner.
  • When a report is ready, you’ll see the option to click View Report & Take Action.
    • This will open the record so you can review what action is needed. The layout will look similar to a candidate file marked Review Needed.


If you decide to initiate Pre-Adverse Action, click the link to run a county criminal check. This orders a county criminal search so court records for the case can be obtained.

Note: Some cases may be ongoing or active. Vetty will provide the most recent available data. You may order additional county criminal checks as needed to monitor how the case progresses through the justice system.

Once the county criminal check is ordered:

  • The Vetty Operations team will review the file.
  • The file will be marked Clear or Review Needed
    • If marked Clear, no new alert will be generated.
    • If marked Review Needed, a new alert will appear in your VettyComply™ dashboard.


At that point, you’ll be able to review the full criminal case details and either:

  • Proceed with Pre-Adverse Action, or
  • Mark the case as Meets Hiring Criteria.
