It's a simple question, with a complicated response. Here's how we like to explain it.
A background check begins with collecting some required information, authorizations, and disclosures. The personal information collected can vary, but it typically includes your Legal Name, Social Security Number (SSN), Date of Birth (D.O.B), and Address. From there, it expands based on the background check "package". A package is like a bundle, of separate, yet intertwined details that help us determine and find the results of background checks.
In addition to the basic PII information, some packages will require state licenses, copies of insurance, or potentially Education or Employment details.
Together, the information is combined, scraped, cleaned, and adjudicated to deliver the results to your dashboard and the candidates' Vetty Profile.
